The large
windows of the Olga House meet at the corner of Jeanne-Mance and
La Gauchetière streets. This new building is the result of
seven years of effort and of the humanitarian commitment of several
partners.

With its common spaces and carefully decorated rooms, the Olga House
was conceived in the image of a happy home rather than an institution.
The building is well suited to the multiservice nature of the organization
and includes :
| |
large day centre |
| |
modern kitchen |
| |
20 private rooms with washrooms |
| |
night dispensary |
| |
community room |
| |
workshops |
| |
therapy rooms |
| |
clothing dispensary and laundry room |
|
|
|

The Olga House houses 20 homeless women on an ongoing basis. The
length of stay varies as follows:
| |
long term (1 year or more): 8 places |
| |
medium term (from 6 months to 1 year): 8 places |
| |
short term (up to 2 months): 4 places |
| |
emergency shelter: 3 places |
|
During the day, the Olga House welcomes participants from the outside,
including former residents engaged in a process of self-sufficiency.
These women are able to access all services and activities that may
be of help to them. |
