The Herstreet Foundation was created in the fall of 2001 with the
objective of ensuring the long-term sustainability of Herstreet.
In fact, one of the preconditions for the government's contribution
to the financing package for the construction of the Olga
House, was to insure the continuity of its services. With the
decision to create the Foundation, the board of directors of Herstreet
is free to oversee the effective management of the organisation as
a whole, while the Foundation’s board of directors can focus
exclusively on raising funds for the organisation’s operations.
